Space takes off for Florida State

It's been a wild Saturday in the world of college basketball as players have been committing and de-committing all day. The latest program to pick up a commitment is Florida State who picked up a verbal pledge from Antwan Space late Saturday.
"I love the coaching staff, players, program and atmosphere," Space told Rivals.com. "I feel that they put me in the best position to get to where I want to be."

Ranked No. 88 nationally in the 2011 Rivals150, the 6-foot-7 combo forward from DeSoto (Texas) High is a matchup nightmare.
Play him with a bigger guy, Space will take him out to the wing and bury jumpers or attack off the dribble. Try to use a smaller player who can neutralize his quickness and Space has the low post game to score again and again.
"Florida State is getting a true hybrid forward in Space," said Damon Sayles of Rivals.com affiliate Texashoops.com. "If you want him to play the perimeter he can do that. If you want him to play the block he can do that too."
A four-star prospect, Space starred during the summer for Jazzy Hartwell's Urban DFW Elite pogram. He joins four-star shooting guard Terry Whisnant and three-star junior college big man Kiel Turpin to make up Leonard Hamilton and Florida State's early recruiting class.
