Southern Miss Adds 3rd Mississippi Player

Southern Mississippi head coach James Green added a fourth player to the Golden Eagles 2002-03 roster when Jarekus Singleton from Clinton (MS) High School signed a National Letter of Intent this month.
The 6-2, 175 pound Singleton averaged 20 points, 7.5 rebounds and 6.0 assists as a senior this past season. He was named first team All-Metro in both 2001 and 2002 and to the 2001 and 2002 All-State second team. He is a member of the Jackson Clarion-Ledger's Dandy Dozen and will play in the Mississippi-Alabama All-Star game in June.

Singleton averaged 21 points a game as a junior earning All-District honors.
Singleton joins Bay Springs, MS' Jason Forte, who also signed with the Conference USA school this month, and Utica, MS' Sam Richardson and Juco Geoffrey Brown in USM's recruiting class for the upcoming season.
