Soph Pena Leads Lincoln To Win

The big name on the Lincoln High School roster is obvious -- Sebastian Telfair, the high-energy point guard from Brooklyn, New York. But a player to keep an eye on this season will be 6-7 Antonio Pena, who led his team to a 67-59 victory over Oxon Hill (6-1) at the Slam Dunk at the Beach in Lewes, Delaware.
Pena scored 15 of his game-high 21 points in the second half. Just a sophomore, Pena seems to work well with the point guard talents of Telfair, who had a below average game yesterday afternoon. Telfair was four of 18 from the floor but did have seven assists. Several of his assists were of the pretty kind and his quick steps toward the basket with his dribble delighted the crowd on several occasions. Telfair also scored 13 points.

Teammate Dominic Osei was also a big part of the win for Lincoln. Osei, who scored eight points, did a great job on the boards. He grabbed 14 rebounds, seven on the offensive glass.
Pena, who also picked off nine rebounds, is skilled along the baseline and around the basket. He moves smartly around his defenders close to the basket. Pena was 10 for 15 from the floor. He didn't take a bad shot all game.
Christopher Pugh led Oxon Hill with 19 points while William Gill had 10. Lincoln moved its record to 10 victories in 11 games.
