Songondo to Southern Cal
According to sources close to the recruitment of Bienvenu Songondo, the 6-foot-10, 210-pound power forward at Laurinburg Institute has committed to Southern California.
Songondo is coming off of minor knee surgery and was also hearing from Georgetown, LSU, Nebraska, South Carolina and Texas.
Originally from the Central Republic of Africa, Songondo has only been playing basketball for four years but averaged 20 points, 12 rebounds, and five blocked shots for Catholic Towson High School last year.
