Some Top Performers At Slam Dunk

LEWES, Del. -- Many players played key roles for their squads in Thursday's games at the Slam Dunk to the Beach.
The Insiders Report/Rivalshoops.com looks at some of the top performers in the article below:

Chris Quinn, 6-1, Coffman H.S., Dublin, Oh. Although he was injured and did not play in the summer, the Notre Dame bound floor general put on a clinic in the Shamrocks' victory over Salem H.S. of Virginia. He clearly got the better of Maryland signee John Gilchrist, as Quinn used his sharp outside shot and deft passing skills to lead Coffman to an easier than expected victory.
Alray Taylor, 6-2, Charlestown H.S., Charlestown, Mass. Taylor, a physical specimen, was a bulldog all day in the paint for the Townies in their comeback win over Sanford. While his teammates struggled to find consistency, Taylor was a model of it, pumping in 18 points and grabbing 10 boards. He is a senior.
Darryl Lodge, 6-6, Charlestown H.S., Charlestown, Mass. Only a sophomore, Lodge played a vital role in the Townies' come from behind victory over the Sanford School. While many expected big things from his teammate [and Florida signee] Rasheed Al-Kaleem, it was Lodge who came up huge in the scoring department with 17 points. Blessed with long arms and excellent mobility, Lodge showed that he can be an inside/outside type of player.
Wade Dunston, 6-4, The Bullis School, Potomac, Md. Slashing and strong 180 pound senior swingman continued his fine play here with a 28 point, 10 rebound performance. He plays like a put bull in that he is always on the attack. He understands how to draw contact and get to the line. His game is not pretty, and he's far from a graceful perimeter player, but Dunston gets results.
Bobby Santiago, 6-1, All Hallows H.S., Bronx, N.Y. Underappreicated guard was oh so solid in a 77-57 dismantling of Redondo Union on Thursday afternoon. A player who got lost in the shuffle a bit with the Riverside Church program this summer, Santiago hit seven of eight shots from the floor on the way to 14 points against Redondo Union. He also dished out two assists, scooped up three steals and did not commit a turnover. Low Division I programs are trailing him heavily this winter.
