SoCon school lands Cole

One of the most sought after mid-major big men ended his recruitment on Saturday. Dacula (Ga.) High School center Brian Cole is taking his game to the Southern Conference.
The 6-foot-9 big man visited UNC-Greensboro this weekend and committed shortly before completing his two day trip to the program.

"It just felt right," Cole said. "They have a lot of their players coming back next year and there will probably be a chance for me to start when I get there. They have a good staff and I really liked their campus. Like I said, it just felt right."
Cole is a simplistic big man that understands his strengths and weaknesses. His attention to detail in the post helped his Dacula team go 27-3 last year and Cole fine tuned his craft with the Atlanta Celtics over the summer. Cole said he felt the attention from UNC-Greensboro every step of the way.
"They wanted me and it's good to feel wanted," Cole said. "It made sense to me to pull the trigger."
Cole said he narrowed is choices down to UNC-Greensboro, College of Charleston and Murray State. Finding his fit was predicated upon finding a place where he could build a great relationship with the coaches and players, he said.
"The first thing I wanted to see when I got up there was how their players where. So we hung out and I was able to see that I could build a relationship with them," Cole said. "They are all good, humble people. I felt like they had a good family relationship and I could see myself up there for all four years."
