The last few weeks have been a whirlwind for Australian big man Harry Froling. The four-star prospect from the class of 2016 made his way to the States from Australia to take official visits to Arizona, Colorado, Illinois and SMU.

Monday night, Froling ended things when he took to his Twitter account to announce that he would be playing his college ball for Larry Brown and the Mustangs.

A strong 6-foot-10, 240 pounder who can both bulldoze and play with skill, Froling has trained at the Australia Institute of Sport in Canberra. He found it difficult to say no to Brown and his staff after his official visit.

"After my visit to SMU I just got the feeling that it was right," Froling told Rivals.com. "Obviously I can earn some minutes and hopefully play a huge role in building something special there.

"The coaching staff were all great coaches and more importantly great people making it hard to say no.

In August of 2015, Rivals.com had the chance to evaluate Froling at the Adidas Nations event in the Los Angeles area. Froling stood out for his ability to trade blows in the paint, grab boards and step out to hit face-up jumpers. It's an evaluation that he agrees with.

"Yes, that's my game style. I like to be known as a stretch four, sort of a combo of Kelly Olynk and Kevin Love.

"Something people may not know about my game is that I'm big on passing. I love to be a play maker and I get the occasional triple double."

Froling is the third member of SMU's 2016 recruiting class. He joins three-star combo guard Dashawn McDowell and fellow Australian Tom Wilson, a 6-foot-4 shooting guard.
