Smith Plays Sparingly in Loss

MILFORD, Del. -- He might have signed with a high major program this fall, but combo guard Tyler Smith of Lutheran Christian Academy played sparingly on Saturday at the War on the Shore Tournament.
Smith, who inked with DePaul last week, scored four points and dished out four assists in LCA's 68-63 loss to Notre Dame Prep of Massachusetts on Saturday morning.

"Tyler had a rough transition here, but right now, he's getting focused and getting better in practice," said LCA Head Coach Darryl Schofield. "What I want to see him do is to get better taking shots and taking the right shots."
"He's very strong, a good penetrator, but he has to become a good jump shooter as well," the coach concluded.
Schofield expects Smith to play more on Sunday in Lutheran Christian's consolation game against Coastal Christian.
Rivalshoops.com will continue to be here for the action, and we will let you know if Smith fares better in that contest, so stay tuned.
