Smith: Decision By July

J.R. Smith, the outstanding 6-6 swingman from St. Benedict's High School in Newark, New Jersey, told RivalsHoops.com that he now has a top four list of North Carolina, Louisville, Pittsburgh, and Miami. "North Carolina and Louisville are my top two schools," Smith said.
When asked who leads in his recruiting process, Smith stated: "North Carolina still leads but Louisville is right there."

Smith said he plans on making a decision in July. "I want to make my decision at the ABCD camp," he said. "I want to take some visits before I decide though. I want to take a trip to Louisville this spring."
Smith has already visited North Carolina and will also play a game at UNC with his team soon. He has also seen the campus of UNC when he played at the Bob Gibbons Tournament of Champions event.
"I am 95 percent sure I will make a decision before or at the ABCD Camp," Smith said. "Carolina is still leading, but Louisville is right there in the stretch. It will come down to this summer at ABCD."
Smith also added: "I could possibly make unofficial to Pittsburgh."
