Sleepers coming out of West Tennessee

A pair of sleeper prospects are emerging out of West Tennessee.
Junior shooting guards Josh Sain and Juwon Long, teammates at Liberty Tech Magnet High in Jackson, both recently began receiving interest from major programs after solid performances on the AAU Circuit.

Sain (6-foot-5) captured the attention of Texas A&M at the Houston Kingwood Classic two weeks ago.
Ole Miss and Mississippi State are recruiting Long (6-2) and Tennessee began showing him some attention after the King of the South.
"Both Josh and Juwon are late bloomers," said their AAU coach Jeremy Shulman. "They were overlooked last season, but both have the ability to play at the high-major level."
Sain might have the most potential of the duo. He has the size and athleticism to play a handful of positions and excels on the defensive end of the floor.
"Josh is strong, incredibly athletic and has that extra gear of speed," Shulman said. "But, he's just a gamer more than anything. He can do it all."
Long recently started playing point guard for the Midstate Ballerz, but his long-term future probably lies on the wing. He hit 4-of-5 3-pointers against the Smyrna Stars in the King of the South.
"The early knock on Juwon was that he couldn't shoot, but he's worked hard on that part of his game," Shulman said. "He has developed a mid-range floater and is shooting much better from 3-point range."
