Sleeper Needs More Exposure

Etienne Brower, a 6'7'' 195 pound combo forward from West Hempstead High School in West Hempstead, New York, on Long Island, is a sleeper who has seemingly slipped through the cracks.
While Rivalshoops.com needs to see Etienne play more to gauge his talents, a preliminary look at Brower has shown that he is a 6'7'' 4/3 man who is athletic, quick off his feet, and handles well for his size. We've heard from more than one source that Brower is consistent out to 15 feet shooting the ball, but haven't seen him face up all that much during the stint we've seen him.

Brower has a large wingspan and possesses good timing in blocking shots. He has good coordination and good hands, and may be able to defend the small forward slot at the next level.
Brower is forced to do just about everything for his high school team, including run the point at times, and he handles appreciably well, especially in transition. Brower has the look of a mid-major type player, but we'll have to reserve judgement until we can catch him a few more times.
Brower has heard the most from Colgate, Lehigh, Rider, and Davidson, among other schools. He hosted Vermont for an in-school visit this week, and heard recently from Cornell. Davidson has offered.
Why is Brower such an unknown commodity? First off, he plays in a mediocre high school league that doesn't yield a lot of Division I players. In addition, while he travelled a bit this summer with The Long Island Lightning and coach Bobby Paul, who is also an assistant coach at Chaminade High School in Mineola, Etienne doesn't play with a high-profile program, which may have allowed him to get overlooked.
Brower's father, Quinis, played professionally for Limoges in France as well as at Hofstra, so he has good pedigree.
Brower carries an 85 average in the classroom. He has scored 1130 on the SAT.
