Andy Ogide, one of the biggest sleepers in the country, is no longer available. The 6-foot-7, 212-pound power forward from Paulding County in Dallas, Ga., not only made a decision to attend an ACC school he'll even be counted as an early signee with his future college home.

After officially visiting Virginia over the weekend, the three-star forward decided that he was ready to make it official. Ogide committed and signed with Dave Leitao's program on the last day of the early signing period.
Much like the Greg Paulus situation last year, Virginia has 21 days from the last day of the signing period to get it into the league office for it to be valid. Ogide wanted to visit the campus first before making it official.
"It was great so it made it easy to commit to them," Ogide said shortly after dropping 31 points in a Monday night victory. "I actually signed last week but I wanted to see the school first before they sent it in.
"They have a lot of things going for them," he said. "They players were all really cool. They have a new arena with everything in it. When you get done practicing, you can just stay there to study or get something to eat or do some training or just hang out. It has it all. Plus it's such a prestigious school. If I ever get hurt, I'll always have a Virginia degree."
Ogide was just beginning to see the high-majors make a push in the last month. That's when Virginia, along with Georgia, Miami and SMU all took a long look at the Peach State prospect. He visited Georgia last week.
"Everything has been a blur in the last month," Ogide said. "From no one to recruit me to all of this has been pretty good. Basically when it all came down to it, it was (Virginia and Georgia)."
Ogide is a guy who is just now making a blip on the national recruiting radar. Certainly athletic enough to play at the highest level, Ogide is a bit of a late bloomer in the sense he's becoming more versatile in his game. In the first game of the year, Ogide scored 34 points, including four three-pointers. He said Virginia plans on utilizing his versatility in their style of play.
"Coach told me that he thinks I can come in and play right away because they let their fours play inside and out," Ogide said. "Everyone thinks I'm just a power guy down low but I can shoot the three and they let their guys do that."
Ogide joins fellow signees Jamil Tucker, Johnnie Lett and Will Harris and commitment Solomon Tat in the 2006 class.
