Sleeper Big Man Chooses School

Guy Ngarndi, a 6-foot-8, 210-pounder from Western H.S. in Louisville, Kentucky, committed to Manhattan College tonight. This is a great pickup for the Manhattan program.
Many believe Ngarndi could be a high major prospect. Ngarndi is a native of the Cameroon. Last summer, Ngarndi suited up this summer for the Derek Smith All-Stars at the adidas Big Time Tournament in Las Vegas. And while Rajon Rondo, David Cornwell and Ross Neltner were racking up most of the points for that team, Ngarndi kept the opposition from scoring.

A quick and explosive power forward from Western H.S. in Louisville, Ky., Ngarndi runs the floor swiftly and challenges tons of shots on the defensive end.
Ngarndi had interest also from Fairfield and Murray State. Earlier in his recruiting process, Western Kentucky, Appalachian State, Pepperdine, San Francisco and San Diego State were involved.
He's only been in the United States for about 14 months.
