Six Schools Offer Swingman

Justin Cage, a well rounded 6-5, 200 pound swingman/small forward from Pike H.S. in Indianapolis, Ind., has been a popular man this spring with college coaches.
Cage, who impressed us last month with Gary Betts' No Excuses program at the Spiece Run N Slam Tournament, told the Insiders Report/Rivalshoops.com that he has been offered scholarships thus far by Butler, Ball State, Memphis, DePaul, Xavier and Iowa.

Others showing interest include Indiana, Indiana State and Notre Dame.
Thus far, Cage has had a chance to unofficially visit Xavier, Indiana and Purdue. He recently attended a high school tournament at Xavier, which is coached by former Butler Head Coach Thad Matta.
Cage averaged 13 points, 7.6 rebounds and three assists per game this past season at Pike, which is perennially one of the top basketball programs in the state of Indiana.
At Spiece last month, Cage impressed us with his ability to play both inside and out. He has a rugged build which aids him in forays to the basket, yet also displayed keen passing ability from the high post.
Cage said he has a 2.4 GPA and scored a 16 on the ACT the first time that he took it.
Although he has not yet been invited to either adidas ABCD or the Nike All-American Camp, Cage has a busy summer ahead with No Excuses, which will include stops at the Kentucky Hoop Fest, the adidas Big Time Tournament and the Best of the Summer Tournament.
We will keep you posted on Cage's recruitment in the weeks to come, so stay tuned.
