Singletarys Injury Almost Healed

As each week passes, Penn Charter High School point guard Sean Singletary's shoulder heals a little bit more. Singletary, who damaged his shoulder last Spring, indicated his injury was almost healed.
"It's about 92 percent healed right now," said the 5-foot-11, 178-pound lead guard who will attend Virginia next season. "When I last played (at Five Star in August) it was still bothering me a little bit. Now I feel very comfortable."

Singletary's Penn Charter team in Philadelphia is currently 5-1, the only loss to Mount Zion Christian Academy. He is averaging 27 points and nine assists a game. "My shot is getting better," Singletary said. "I want to be better with that this season."
One of Singletary's new teammates next season is Adrian Joseph, who currently plays for Brewster Academy in New Hampshire. "I have been speaking to him," Singletary said. "I think we both might play for Sonny Hill this spring. It would be great to play with him a little before we both go to Virginia. He's a great player."
Sean also stated he has watched Virginia a few times this season. "I was really impressed with their game against Minnesota," Singletary said. "I remember playing against Gary Forbes (Virginia freshman) a year ago. He is much better now. He's ten times better now than when I saw him last. I can't wait to play with players like him."
Singletary is likely to fit in neatly with the Virginia style of play. He is an unselfish guard who dedicates himself to getting his teammates involved in the offensive flow of the game. This was one reason why Joseph decided to make a commitment also to the Virginia program. Joseph wanted a chance to play with Singletary.
