Sina back on the board

Alabama has suffered a recruiting blow, losing half of its 2013 recruiting class with the decommitment of four-star prospect Jaren Sina.
"Jaren has opened it up, and it was a hard decision," said Sina's father and coach Mergin Sina. "He wants to go through the process again. He had built a strong relationship with the coaches and school, but he wants to be 100 percent sure. Right now, he just isn't 100 percent sure."

Sina, who is a 6-foot-1 combo guard from Gladstone (N.J.) Gill St. Bernard's School, will see plenty of recruiting attention. In fact, it has already begun, but the family is ignoring the recruiting push at the moment.
"We haven't picked up the phone," said Coach Sina. "We are going to take a day or two off and let things settle down."
Sina is the No. 86-ranked prospect in the Rivals150.
Three-star forward Shannon Hale remains as Alabama's lone 2013 commitment.
