Sims Picks Up Play At Nationals

Courtney Sims, a skilled 6-10, 222 pound power forward/center from Noble & Greenough H.S. in Denham, Mass., has picked up his play at the National AAU event. When Mike Sullivan reported this past weekend about Sims and his play in Orlando, Florida, many top coaches had taken a real serious look at his skills.
Some of the programs that have watched him this week are Kentucky, Arizona, Memphis, Arkansas, Connecticut, and North Carolina. (to name a few)

Sims did not have a great weekend but has picked up his play over the past couple of days. He handled himself nicely against Florida bound forward Chris Richard. It's likely that Sims will continue to have several offers on the table.
Sims is big enough and agile enough to handle himself in the low post. He is slender for sure and will need to strengthen his frame to be a great college player.
Previously, Sims enjoyed a productive week at the Peach Jam too, where he averaged 15.8 points and six rebounds in five games for BABC.
Sims has offers from George Washington, UMass, Michigan, Providence, Syracuse, Memphis, William & Mary and Boston University. Others who are courting Courtney include Ohio State, Texas Tech, Boston College, Maryland and DePaul. Sources tell us that the schools in the previous line are likely now to offer Sims a free ride too.
Sims averaged 19 points, 10 rebounds and eight blocks per game as a junior at Noble & Greenough. He said he carries a 2.4 GPA in the classroom and has scored a 960 on the SAT, which meets the fully qualified guidelines used by the NCAA.
