Sikes Has D-1 Interest

Notre Dame Academy of Middleburg, Va., has a trio of forwards who are Division I basketball prospects. One of them, Marcus Sikes is not yet committed.
Sikes is highly regarded. A long armed forward who slashes the baseline effectively and is a presence on the offensive glass, Sikes has been offered thus far by Kent State and Rhode Island, according to NDA Head Coach Larry Cullinane.

Others who have expressed interest include DePaul, UConn, Clemson, George Washington, Richmond and West Virginia.
A native of Petersburg, Va., Sikes averaged 12.5 points per game as a junior last season. He has a 2.4 core GPA but will need a significant boost in his SAT score in order to qualify academically. He is taking the test this Saturday, Oct. 12.
