There hasn't been much secret to the fact that 2012 6-3 Canadian shooting guard Richard Audu has long been a Siena lean. This weekend he locked in his future with the Saints while on his official visit and committed to play in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC).
"The visit went real well" said Audu. "They showed me a lot of love, took me out and showed me the city, and I got to play pickup with the guys. Everyone was mad cool and at the end of it I knew this is the place I wanted to be for four years to develop my game."

Assistant Coach Tobin Anderson targeted Audu early, and made it clear from the outset that Richard was a priority. "Coach Anderson is a really good guy. We have a great relationship and got to know each other over the last few months. He's almost like family to me now and I'm really excited to have him around throughout my career" said Audu.
Richard is a guard who can get buckets in a variety of ways. He's a streaky but efficient three point shooter who can also make plays at the rim. He's a good athlete with excellent strength that can guard both shooting guards and wings. He can make plays in transition and also create for himself in the half court.
What is he expecting to contribute when he arrives on campus?
According to Richard, "They like to get up and down in transition, push the ball, shoot the ball, so I should fit right in. They told me they want me to come in ready to play and ready to rock. They want me to score the basketball and play my game. They told me I'd fit right in and are expecting big things from me."
