Shumpert makes his decision

He played it as close to the vest as any player in the country all year long but Iman Shumpert couldn't hide his college any longer. The 6-foot-4, 185-pound point guard from Oak Park (Ill.) River Forest High School announced his decision on Thursday night.
Shumpert will take his versatile game to Georgia Tech, he announced on the Chicago Tribune Live show on Comcast in the Chicago area.

Shumpert, the No. 26 ranked player in the class of 2008, also considered Marquette and North Carolina. The verbal commitment is good news for Georgia Tech as Shumpert is the first player to give a nod to the ACC school in the class of 2008.
Shumpert said he liked opportunity to play early at Georgia Tech and playing time played a big part in his decision.
We will have more from Shumpert later in the evening.
