Showers having a big season

St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Hammond, La., is off to a strong 19-5 record midway through the season, and the play of junior point guard Thaddeus Showers has a lot to do with St. Thomas Aquinas' success.
Averaging 22 points, five rebounds, four assists and two steals, Showers had a season high 41 points in a one point loss to Slidell (La.) High School.

Louisiana Future club coach Titus Randle has nothing but praise for Showers, who also runs the point for Randle's team.
"He is definitely one of the best point guards in the state," said Randle. "He does a great job running a team."
With his recruitment just getting into gear, Showers is hearing from Georgia, Ole Miss and Radford at this point.
"I really like Georgia," said Showers. "Jeremy Jacob, who played with the Louisiana Future is going there, and I like the way Georgia plays. The compete and play hard on defense and run motion offense just like our high school team does."
