Shooter sets three visits

One of the biggest breakout players of the summer, senior shooting guard Jase Febres won't be an unranked three-star prospect for much longer. He's also gone to work on figuring out his recruitment.

A 6-foot-5 pure shooter from Houston (Texas) Westfield, Febres had a monster summer playing with Texas Pro. After being sidelined for much of the spring with an injury, Febres seemingly came out of nowhere to burn up the Adidas Gauntlet circuit during the month of July.

For his efforts, Febres will enter the 2017 Rivals150 when it's updated at the beginning of September and he's landed offers from programs like Auburn, Baylor, Boise State, Colorado, Houston, Kansas State, N.C. State, Rice, Stanford, TCU, Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Washington, Washington State and West Virginia to name a few.

Since the end of July, Febres has been busy exploring his options. Over the past few weeks he's taken unofficial visits to Texas, Texas A&M and Colorado. Now, he's set his first three official visits according to his summer coach Marland Lowe.

Slated to receive official visits are Houston (Sept. 3rd), Stanford (Sept. 17th), and Baylor (Sept. 24th). He'll likely fill the open September 10th date with an official visit to one of the programs that he's seen unofficially.

For now, Febres hasn't quite decided if he will cut his list or set more official visits but the plan is to make a decision in time for the early signing period in November. It is interesting to note that during July, Febres told Rivals that Baylor was one of his dream schools growing up so the Bears figure to play a large factor.
