Shipp talks about recruitment

Jerren Shipp knows all there is to know about the recruiting process. The 6-foot-5, 200-pound small forward from Fairfax High School in Los Angeles, Calif., is the younger brother of Joseph and Josh Shipp, so he has firsthand knowledge of how the process works.
"I am being recruited by most of the Pac-10 schools," said Shipp. "Arizona State, Southern California, UCLA, Oregon and Oregon State are recruiting me the hardest. My mom and I have talked about taking some visits, but I will probably wait until the fall before I do anything."

When talking about his recruitment, Shipp was quick to admit that he is wide open at this time. He does intend to use all five official visits in the fall and, as it stands right now, would like to visit two schools in particular.
Shipp admitted that he has not made a decision about his final three visits, but that is something he will think about throughout the spring and summer AAU circuit.
"It's my plan to take all five official visits in the fall," said Shipp. "Oregon and Oregon State are two schools that I definitely plan to visit. I have not made a decision about the other three visits, but I do plan to use all five."
Shipp will spend the summer running with the Adidas Pump N' Run. He has also been invited to the Nike Camp.
