Shelden Williams Still Leaning To Duke

Shelden Williams, a well built 6-9, 225 pound power forward from Midwest City H.S. in Midwest City, Okla., is one of the top prospects in the class of 2002.
Williams enjoyed a solid weekend at the recent NBA Players Association Camp in Washington D.C., although he was not a dominant force as many might expect from one of the highest rated prospects in the Class of 2002.

Still, he has all of the physical tools and ingredients to be the top player in this class if his overall skill level improves.
Williams told the Insiders Report that he is leaning toward Duke, but is still considering North Carolina, Illinois, Michigan, Oklahoma, Syracuse, Southern California, Arkansas and Kentucky.
As a junior at Midwest City, Williams averaged 20 points, 13 rebounds and four blocks per game. He said he has a 3.7 GPA and scored a 19 on the ACT.
Williams will kick off a busy summer later this week at the Nike All-American Camp in Indianapolis, and then tour the Nike circuit with Athletes First. That means you can find Williams at the Nike Peach Jam, AAU Super Showcase and the AAU Nationals.
