Shelden Williams Has Several Schools Left

Shelden Williams, a multi-talented and hard-working 6-9, 240-pound forward from Midwest City High School in Oklahoma, has not narrowed his list yet, according to Shelden's mom.
"Shelden is still considering about six or seven schools right now," she said. "He wants to take official visits before he makes a decision. So it doesn't look like a decision will be coming soon."

Williams is one of the most sought after players in this year's class of 2002. The reasons: 1. Williams is very effective on both ends of the court. He plays tough inside and can go out and drop down the jumper. 2. Williams is also a good defender, works hard on the glass, and blocks shots.
Most top college coaches got their first good taste of Shelden Williams when he played at the Slam Dunk to the Beach last December.
Schools like Duke, Illinois, Oklahoma, Stanford, Southern Cal, North Carolina, Tennessee, Arkansas, Kansas, and Tulsa were placed very high on Williams'list.
Shelden's mom said that this list was one that her son was considering. However, our sources close to Williams tell us that Shelden will not land on the West Coast.
"Right now Shelden's in Colorado for the USA tryouts," she said. "But he isn't close to making a commitment to a school yet. He is still considering several schools."
