Shavlik Randolph Receives Praise

RivalsHoops.com was not represented at the recent tournament in St. Louis, Missouri. But we polled some top coaches across the country who were in town to watch some of the top talent at this event.
The name that came up most was Shavlik Randolph, a talented and skilled forward from Raleigh (NC) Broughton High School in North Carolina.

Randolph, who verbally committed to Duke in early October and then signed a letter of intent in November, impressed many college coaches on hand with his ability to score. "The game I saw him he scored 29 points," said an ACC head coach. "He is one talented player. He doesn't have much help with his team so he has to carry that team on his shoulders."
The ACC coach also said he believes Randolph will eventually be good enough to make the league. "He is going to be a very good college player because of his skills," said the ACC coach, who asked not to be named.
"He was good throughout the game. He got up and down the court. He went inside and out. He is one of the best players in the country right now."
Randolph is likely to find alot of support from voters for the McDonald's All American game. The game will be held next March at Madison Square Garden in New York.
