Sharpshooter Has Many Offers

Quincy Douby, the sure-fire marksman out of Grady High School in Brooklyn who will prep at St. Thomas More Academy this fall, has six offers from major conference programs on the table.
Douby has been offered scholarships by St. John's, Syracuse, Seton Hall, UMass, Virginia, and Mississippi State, who just locked up his AAU teammate with the Riverside Church, Gary Ervin. Douby plans on taking some unofficial trips in August, but is not sure where he might go yet. He does not have a leader.

"All of the schools are kind of even right now," said Douby.
Douby attended the Nike Camp in Indianapolis, and then skipped The Peach Jam in order to rest an injured finger. Douby then competed in the Super Showcase in Orlando with Riverside Church. He sat out yesterday's Real Scout All-Star Classic with his hand wrapped up, but was in attendance. Virginia's Pete Gillen, St. John's Mike Jarvis, Mississippi State's Rick Stansbury, and assistants from UMass and Syracuse were on hand.
Douby still needs to round out his core requirements and needs a qualifying SAT score.
