Sharpshooter Has 3 Offers

Spencer Laurie, a sharp-shooting 6-1, 160 pound point guard from Kickapoo H.S. in Springfield, Mo., has a trio of scholarship offers on the table this spring.
Laurie is here at the Great American Shootout after spending nearly a week at the adidas ABCD Camp in Teaneck, N.J.

He told the Insiders Report/Rivalshoops.com that Missouri, SW Missouri State and Wichita State have all offered him scholarships. In addition, programs such as Georgia Tech, N.C. State, Minnesota and Nebraska have also inquired about him heading into the summer.
Right now, Laurie said his top four choices are N.C. State, Minnesota, Nebraska and Missouri. He has taken unofficial trips thus far to N.C. State, Wichita State, SW Missouri State and Missouri.
A solid floor general who does a capable job of running the point, Laurie is also a deadeye perimeter marksman on a catch and shoot basis. If defenses give him ample daylight from beyond the arc, he's liable to make them pay.
Laurie averaged 20 points, three rebounds, seven assists and five steals per game this past season for Kickapoo. He said he has a 3.0 GPA and narrowly missed a qualifying ACT score on his first stab at the exam.
After the Great American Shootout, Laurie and his underrated Springfield Heat squad will travel to the adidas Big Time Tournament in Las Vegas, as well as the Tom Tietze Tournament in Kansas at the end of the month.
We'll keep you posted on his play and recruitment in the weeks to come, so stay tuned!
