Sharp shooting guard picks UT-Arlington

Perhaps it's too early to tell. But, from the looks of things, Texas-Arlington has gotten themselves an early steal with the commitment of Drew Charles.
A 6-foot-2 shooting guard from Azle (Texas) High, Charles isn't just one of the top shooters in Texas, he can shoot with anybody in the country.

"Drew is the kind of player that every coach wants to coach," said Texashoops.com's Damon Sayles of Charles. "He's got a good head on his shoulders and he's the quintessential student athlete."
While he's known primarily as a shooter, Charles is more than a one-trick pony. He's not a bad ball handler and is fully capable of playing some point for stretches. Charles is a hard-nosed competitor and a pretty good defender.
Charles is UT-Arlington's first known commitment from the class of 2012.
