Rivalshoops.com had the chance to catch up with Shakur on Sunday at the Charlie Weber Tournament at the University of Maryland, and he told us where things stand going into his press conference.
Here is a transcript of that interview.
Rivals Hoops: Have you already made the decision on where you're going? When are you going to let the coaching staffs know of your intentions?
Mustafa Shakur: I will let everyone know on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
RH: So you are not going to call the coaches ahead of time?
MS: No.
RH: Can you talk about the two visits you took this fall?
MS: They were both very good visits. I got a chance to be around the players and see what the campus atmosphere was like.
RH: Can you talk specifically about each school and their situation?
MS: Arizona I like. I was around Jason Gardner and Luke Walton. Hassan [Adams] and Andre [Iguodala] were my hosts for the day, and it was pretty good. When I was at North Carolina State, I was around Julius Hodge most of the time. I got to see that he was a hard worker and that the rest of the players are, too.
RH: When will you actually make the decision, or have you already made it and are keeping it to yourself?
MS: I would rather not talk about it. I am just going to make my decision on Tuesday.
Rivalshoops.com will stay on top of this story, and when a decision is learned, we'll let you know via a story on this site.
