Shagari Alleyne Has Short List

One of the players who has improved the most over the past year has been 7-2 center Shagari Alleyne, who has played in several tournament over the past two months. The Insiders Report watched Alleyne recently at the Golden Hoops Classic.
Here is a report by Brian Towey who spoke to this member of the class of 2003. "My list includes Temple, North Carolina, Kentucky, and Seton Hall," Alleyne said. "I'm also thinking about Clemson, but I'm not sure about them yet."

Alleyne took an unofficial visit to Fordham this past Monday. "I'm visiting Fordham(Monday), and will visit the other schools I mentioned later in the year."
Shagari spoke about his summer: "Everything went pretty well. I played in a few major tournaments. But I was mostly working on my game."
Alleyne continues to show the desire to improve his game too. This is a very good sign. "This year I want a championship ring. Straight up. I want to win a state championship for the seniors. And then next year will be my year. I'd also like to
become a bigger force in the middle."
-Alleyne scored 14 points to go along with eight rebounds and six blocks in Rice's championship game win over the Frederick Douglass Academy at the Hoop Group's Top 100 Clinic.
