SG Talks About Visit

Artie Bowers, a 6-4, 190 shooting guard from St. Benedict's Prep in Newark, N.J., couldn't help the Playaz Black team grab another title this past weekend at the Rumble in the Bronx.
The Playaz Black had just come off a great tournament victory in which Bowers had copped MVP honors in the 17 and under Select division at the recent Bob Gibbons Memorial Day Tournament of Champions. But this past weekend was a different story as the Playaz Black couldn't advance out of pool play.

Bowers took an unofficial visit to Rutgers in mid-May, and shared his thoughts about his current recruiting list in a recent interview with the Insiders Report/Rivalshoops.com.
In addition to Rutgers, Bowers lists UMass, St. Joe's, Temple, Wake Forest, Connecticut, Pittsburgh and Seton Hall.
Bowers, a native of Delaware, transferred to St. Benedict's this past season after attending Hodson Vo-Tech H.S. in Sanford, Del. A terrific sniper with a knack for scoring in transition, Bowers helped the Gray Bees reach the New Jersey Prep Championship in March, where they lost to Blair Academy.
Bowers will attend the adidas ABCD Camp in July and tour the summer circuit with Jimmy Salmon's Playaz Black program.
