SG From Florida Has 2 Major Offers

Jesus Verdejo, a 6-4, 190 pound shooting guard from Miami Christian H.S. in Miami, Fla., has been one of the better scorers RivalsHoops.com has seen this spring.
Verdejo averaged 15.7 points in three contests for Art Alvarez's Miami Tropics program.

Verdejo has impressed us with his athleticism and midrange shooting ability off the dribble. He has an excellent build for a guard and could very well be one of the more highly recruited perimeter prospects in the Class of 2003.
Alvarez, who also coaches Verdejo at Miami Christian, told the Insiders Report/Rivalshoops.com that Memphis and South Florida have already offered Verdejo. In addition, Connecticut, Louisville, Florida State, Florida and Louisiana State are also looking at the Puerto Rican native this spring.
We expect to catch Verdejo in action again this summer, and we will keep you posted on his progress and recruitment in the weeks to come.
