SF Has Many Offers

FT. WAYNE, Ind. -- Nate Peavy, an athletic 6-6, 190 pound small forward from Chaminade-Julienne H.S. in Dayton, Ohio, has already received a number of scholarship offers this spring.
Peavy, who played with Mike Price's Cincinnati AAU Red squad this past weekend at the Spiece Run N Slam Tournament, told the Insiders Report/Rivalshoops.com that he has offers from Dayton, Duquesne, Miami of Ohio and Wright State.

In addition to those schools, Peavy said he has also received interest from Akron, Ball State, Bowling Green, Buffalo, Eastern Michigan, Kent State and Western Michigan.
A fine athlete blessed with a good basketball body, Peavy helped Cincy AAU Red reach the semifinals at Spiece. While he was not a dominant factor for Price's squad, Peavy is an intriguing prospect because of his size and athleticism.
On top of that, Peavy only started to play AAU basketball this year. In years past, he has concentrated on track and field during the spring (he competed in the mile, the 800 meters and cross country). This year, he has put that sport on the shelf to play hoops with Price's program.
This past season at Chaminade-Julienne, Peavy averaged 10 points and six rebounds per game. He said he has a 3.1 GPA and already achieved a qualifying score on the SAT.
Peavy has a busy summer ahead with Cincy AAU Red, whose itinerary should include pit stops at the Hoosier Shootout, the Kentucky Hoop Fest and the AAU Nationals. He also expects to attend some team basketball camps as well as a session of the Five-Star Pitt camp.
