The No. 56 ranked player in the class of 2006 Alex Tyus his an impressive school list. Out of that list, four schools have been to Hazelwood High School in St. Louis, Mo., to watch the 6-foot-7, 210-pound combo forward.
"I'm interested in Miami, Florida, Arizona, Texas, Kansas, USC, Syracuse and UCLA," said Tyus. "No one has offered yet, and I am still wide open.

"Miami, Kansas, Syracuse and UCLA are the schools that have been it to see me play this year."
With his team 15-4, Tyus has averaged 18 points and 9 rebounds per game. One of the best athletes in the 2006 class, Tyus is long and explosive.
"I'd like to play in an up tempo style," he said. "I'd like to trust in a coach that will help me get to the next level. I definitely want to play in one of the big conferences."
With the potential to be a big time small forward, Tyus puts the ball on the floor well but needs to extend his shooting range. Making the transition to being more of a small forward is a primary focus for Tyus.
"I need to work on being more consistent, and I'm working on playing the wing position," he said.
Tyus will take the ACT for the first time this spring.
