Several schools interested in Barraza

Louis Barraza, the 6-foot-4, 180-pound combo guard from Trevor Browne High School in Phoenix, Ariz., is hoping to make a name for himself during his junior campaign. While a number of high major programs are showing an interest in Barraza, he would like to see more schools become involved in his recruitment.
"Right now, things are going pretty good with my recruitment," said Barraza. "Oregon, Wyoming, Montana and Idaho are the schools showing the most interest in me. I would like to see more schools get involved in my recruitment during the year, but the schools that I mentioned are showing the most interest.

"Montana and Wyoming said they were planning to come out next month to watch me play," he added. "Those are the only two schools that are planning to come out right now."
Barraza indicated that he does not plan to spend too much time thinking about his recruitment during the season. It should come as no surprise that he is more concerned with having successful season, which is why his recruitment will take a backseat until his junior year of basketball is over.
"I am really focused on the season right now," said Barraza. "I have not spent too much time thinking about my recruitment since the season started. I would like to use all five official visits. I think that it would be smart to take advantage of using all five visits.
"I can't tell you what schools that I am going to visit," he added. "I just want to focus on my season and then I will start to make some decisions about what schools to visit after the season is over."
