Several Offers for Anderson

New England Playaz wing player Antonio Anderson has the size and versatility that appeals to coaches. At 6-foot-5, 190-pounds, Anderson, who is from Lynn, Maine and attends Maine Central Institute, can even move over to the point guard position. Right now he is listing seven offers.
“I like Memphis, Connecticut, St. Joe’s, Pittsburgh, DePaul, Virginia, Miami, Clemson, and Boston College,” said Anderson. “They all have offered except for Connecticut and Pittsburgh.”

Anderson’s list is not yet settled. In the fall he will start taking his official visits, and then he will have a better idea about where he will best fit in.
“I take my SAT in October,” he said. “After that I will start taking my official visits. By then I should have my list narrowed down.
“I have taken unofficial visits to Memphis, Connecticut, St. Joe’s, Pittsburgh, and Boston College. I enjoyed all of them but will be able to get a better feel for where I want to go after my official visits.”
The two main factors Anderson will be considering about his top schools are early playing time and his relationship with the coaches.
“I want to go somewhere I can play early,” he said. “I also want to have a strong relationship with the coaches. I have to be there for four years and feel that it’s very important to get along well with the coaching staff and my teammates.”
As far as improving his game, Anderson wants to keep improving his skills with the ball.
“I’m working on my shooting and my ball handling. I feel that I can play either guard position if I have to.”
