Gerald Inman, the 6-foot-8, 195-pound combo forward from St. Joseph's High School in Montvale N.J., has seen the number of schools involved in his recruitment greatly increase within the past two months. After receiving a limited number of scholarship offers during his junior year, Inman currently has seven offers from high major programs.

“Georgetown, NC State, Rutgers, Virginia, Virginia Tech and West Virginia are the schools that Gerald is extremely high on,” St. Joseph’s High School Head Coach Michael Doherty said. “Those are the six schools he really likes right now. Rutgers, Virginia, NC State, St. Joseph’s, Boston College, West Virginia and Virginia Tech are the schools that have offered Gerald a scholarship.
“I also know that Georgetown is very interested in Gerald, but I don’t believe they have formally offered him a scholarship yet,” he added. “I know that Gerald also has some interest in Connecticut, Maryland, Notre Dame, Seton Hall and Michigan.”
Inman is still several months away from making any serious decisions about his future, but the No. 146 ranked player on the Rivals150 list hopes to take several steps forward with the process throughout the summer.
“Gerald and I have talked about taking some official visits, but we haven’t sat down with his family yet,” Coach Doherty said. “I would imagine that he will start taking those visits in September, but we will know a lot more about that after we sit down as a group.
“I do know that Gerald has talked about taking some unofficial visits this summer,” he added. “We haven’t specifically talked about what schools to unofficially visit, but I know he would like to take some visits this summer.”
