The number of high-major programs interested in Jarryd Cole continues to increase. The 6-foot-7, 230-pound combo forward from Winnetonka High School in Kansas City, Mo., has seven scholarship offers on the table, but a host of other big time programs are showing a great deal of interest in Cole.
"Virginia, Missouri, Minnesota and Iowa are the schools that have offered Jarryd," said KC Rocktown head coach Robin Lucas. "Those are the schools that have offered as far as I know. Jarryd has been to several games at Missouri and has taken an unofficial visit to Missouri State.

"I would image that Jarryd might take three official visits before picking a school," he added. "I don't know if he will take more than three visits."
Aside from the aforementioned programs, Cole has scholarship offers from Kansas State, Nebraska and Missouri-State. He is also receiving interest from Marquette and Wisconsin.
The Missouri big man has emerged as a high-major prospect for a variety of reasons, but none more important than how he plays the game. Cole flat-out gets after it on both ends of the court.
"Jarryd has a motor that never stops," said Lucas. "He is a beast on the boards and his motor just never stops running. So many schools are look at Jarryd because they love the way he plays the game. He has a motor that never stops running."
