Sestokas to visit Indiana

Every team needs a shooter, and Indiana has its eyes on senior sharp shooter Zygis Sestokas, a 6-foot-5, 190-pound shooting guard from Statesville Christian (N.C.) High School. The Lithuanian native has already visited Oral Roberts, and an Indiana visit could very well spark more high-major interest.

"We have had several feelers from Big Ten and SEC schools, but this is the first official visit one of those schools has offered," said Statesville Christian head coach John Jordan. "As I understand it, Zygis was highly recommended by a Lithuanian coach who works Indiana's basketball camp every summer. They then did some research and contacted us to offer the visit. From what they have told Zygis' host father, they have very little concern about his talent level and just want to meet him and make sure he fits in with their team and expect to offer him."

Sestokas, who is scheduled to visit Indiana April 17 and 18, has also been offered official visits from Hofstra and Long Island but has not yet scheduled dates.

Shooting an amazing 55 percent from the three-point line, Sestokas had some huge scoring nights for Statesville Christian this season. His largest output of 76 points broke the North Carolina single game scoring record.

This Saturday, Sestokas will play in the 14th annual Charlotte All Star Classic.
