Senior sleeper in Alabama

Although he has led Jefferson Davis High School in Montgomery, Ala., to a 30-2 record and a spot in the region finals, Jamarr Sanders is flying under the recruiting radar. The senior wing player has point forward skills at 6-foot-4, 190-pounds, and should draw significant late minute interest if his team continues to make a run through the playoffs.
"I've been getting letters from Auburn, South Alabama and UAB," said Sanders. "Alabama State, Southeastern Louisiana and Boston College have made contact. Boston College said they had one more scholarship left and were looking for a wing player like me. They are supposed to come watch me before the season ends."

Averaging 18 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists per game on a talent laden squad, Sanders is a long athlete who shoots the ball very well, pursues the ball off the glass and has excellent court vision and passing ability when pushing the ball up the court. He has the offensive skills of point guard, but Sanders does not have the lateral quickness to pressure a quick guard on the perimeter.
"My coach is always getting on me telling me that I don't shoot enough," he said. "But the best thing I do is create shots for my teammates."
