Marvin Clark got off to a fast start in the spring. Injury sidelined the three-star senior for the summer, but he's back at 100 percent and looking to make some noise.

A 6-foot-7 swingman from Kansas City who attends Bel Aire (Kan.) Sunrise Christian, Clark is looking forward to a big year.

"I'm very excited and I feel like I'm going to have a great season," Clark told Rivals.com. "My love for the game just really increased since I broke my foot in the spring. I'm happy to be back."

After getting off to a fast start with MoKan Elite, Clark wasn't thrilled about having to sit. But, he learned to make the most of his time off the floor.

"I was our leading scorer at the time so about 30 or 40% of our offense drooped when I got hurt," said Clark. "Watching my team struggle offensively was hard and not being able to get up and shoot let alone walk was tough. But I took a lot of positives out of it.

"I think IQ is the biggest part I took out of it. Just watching from the sidelines now I'm able to think the game a lot better and I make smarter decisions."

After getting cleared to play about two months ago, Clark feels good about where his game is at. He's been playing all over the floor for Sunrise's prep team as a scorer and rebounder. He's got a strong frame and feels he has ironed out a big weakness in his game.

Clark has decided to wait until the spring to make his choice. Visits are being set up with Ole Miss and Seton Hall while SMU, Michigan State and Temple have shown increased interest. He's also taken an official visit to Kansas State.

"It was a great visit and I really liked it," said Clark about his visit to KSU. "Coach Weber is a great guy and their whole staff is nice. They coach their players but they have a great relationhip and talk to them about anything. The facilities were great, the fan support was great and the academic support center was very nice. The players were cool and it was all love."

Clark says distance from home won't play a big factor in his decision. Like anybody else he's interested in playing time, but he's really going to be looking closely at things away from the floor.

"Away from basketball I want to know that I'm going to be coached on the floor and when I leave the floor that stays on the floor," said Clark. "I want to know that I'm going to be loved and taken care of. I want to be able to communicate with the head coach very easily. I want to win too, I don't just want to be mediocre and I want to make sure I'm continuing to develop."
