SEC schools keeping tabs on Borden

There are a handful of schools in the SEC that will be keeping close tabs on big man Anthony Borden during the July evaluation period.
The 6-foot-10, 220-pound big man from West Memphis (Ark.) High School has raised some eyebrows with his play with the Arkansas Hawks. He's a long and athletic big man that has no troubles getting up and down the floor. Borden is still very much a raw product. He knows how important the July evaluation period will be for his recruitment, too.

"It's going to be an important month. It's my first time to play at these types of tournaments. I've come a long ways from where I started," he said.
"I wasn't that good a year ago. I kept working hard. My post moves, my shot and my defense have all gotten better. I have to keep working hard, run the floor, box out, rebound, just all of the things that I'm supposed to do."
Doing what he is supposed to do has drawn the interest for a handful of SEC programs.
Borden said he is hearing from Ole Miss, Arkansas and Kentucky. He is claiming offers from Ole Miss and Arkansas, too. The big man has been to both schools and hopes to get out to Kentucky and see the Wildcats up close and personal after the summer.
