Seattle Spotlight: Terrell Smith
Quietly, Terrell Smith is becoming a coveted prospect in the class of 2007. The 6-foot-5, 203-pound guard from Federal Way (Wash.) High School may not be a known name nationally but the junior is putting up some huge numbers in the Seattle area this season.
Averaging 23.3 points a game, Smith is the third leading scorer in Seattle this year. Even though he can fill up the scoring column, Gig Harbor head coach Jerome Collins says Smith goes far beyond that.

"He's played very well for us. For starters, he's a 6-5 point guard. But he can really do it all," Smith said. "He can shoot the three, take people off the dribble, pass, rebound, play good defense."
Do it all indeed.
"He was more of a three-point shooter as a freshman but since then he has bulked up and gotten stronger. He's growing into his game and continued to blossom this year."
He is starting to blossom on the recruiting front, too. Collins said Oregon, Oregon State, Texas Tech, UNLV, Utah, Utah State, Washington and Washington State have al either been in to see Smith or inquired.
"And it is only going to increase," Collins said.
