Seahawks Snare Talented JUCO Scorer

David Truesdale, an explosive 6-2 shooting guard from Dodge City H.S. in Dodge City, Kan., will sign a national letter of intent with UNC-Wilmington this week.
Rivalshoops.com confirmed this information with Conquistadors' Head Coach Brian Hoberecht.

"They did a great job of recruiting David," Hoberecht said. "They developed a relationship and were consistent with him, and in the end, he felt very comfortable with the coaching staff, the players and where he would fit into their program."
Truesdale took fall trips to UNC-Wilmington in September and New Mexico in October. He also considered the College of Charleston.
In fact, the Charlotte, N.C., native made a very early [summer] verbal commitment to Charleston, but opted to pull it back and reopen his recruitment.
Late last month, Hoberecht told Rivalshoops.com that Truesdale appeared headed for a late decision after returning from his trip to New Mexico.
The Lobos were hoping to sign Truesdale in the fall, but David wasn't ready to pull the trigger for New Mexico or any other school at that juncture.
After sitting on it for a few weeks, he decided to cast his lot with the Seahawks.
"He's made his decision and he's excited about it," Hoberecht said. "I am excited for him, and after the Charleston fiasco, he settled back in and let everything take its course."
