THE RIVALS150: 2016 | 2017

Just over a week ago, not many outside of the state of Colorado knew much about junior wing D'Shawn Schwartz. Things have changed quickly.
A 6-foot-5 shooting guard at Colorado Springs (Colo.) Sand Creek, Schwartz announced himself as a legit high major prospect with an impressive showing at last weekend's USA Basketball developmental camp.
"I just wanted to go out there and just show my worth," Schwartz told Rivals.com. "The level of competition was great. I got to play against Josh Jackson and guard him a little bit, he's a tough player, a great player. It was great experience."
Comfortable with the ball in his hands, Schwartz is a southpaw who can fill it up at all levels. He gets to the rim, is explosive in transition and can make jumpers. He plays good defense, crashes the glass and has versatility.
"I think I play all three dimensions," said Schwartz. "I can go to the rim, I can shoot the pull-up and I can shoot the three. Here at home because everybody is small I play a lot of small forward but I can play one through four in high school."
College programs are just starting to sniff out Schwartz but the attention will be pouring in soon. He entered USA Basketball with offers from Colorado, UNLV, Weber State and Utah Valley. In the last week, Kansas and Connecticut have called to express interest.
Schwartz is a lock to be included in the next update to the 2017 Rivals150. In the meantime he's been given a four-star rating.
