Schools watching Wallace

Blake Wallace, the No. 142 ranked player in the class of 2006, is one rebound per game away from averaging a double-double this season. The 6-foot-7, 190-pound small forward from Servite High School in Yorba Linda, Calif., has also had an impressive list of schools watch him play this year.
With offers on the table from California and Hawaii, Wallace has had Connecticut, Oregon State, Oregon, UCLA, USC, California and Hawaii evaluate his play this season.

Not yet at the point of narrowing his list, Wallace is still listing Connecticut, Syracuse, Georgia Tech, Wake Forest, Kansas, Washington, Oklahoma State, Oregon State, Oregon, and UCLA along with California and Hawaii. Wallace has now added USC, North Carolina State and Georgetown to his lengthy list.
"I'm still open," said Wallace about his recruitment. "I plan to narrow my list at the start of the AAU season. The plan is to take a couple visits this summer and then take the rest in the fall."
Wallace, who carries a 3.0 GPA, noted that academics will be an important factor in his choice of school.
Averaging 21 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 blocks, Wallace is an above average athlete who is very good in transition filling the lane and finishing with the jumper or at the basket. He also has the length and mobility to defend multiple positions. He does, however, need to get stronger and better with the ball.
"I definitely need to get stronger and add some muscle mass," he said. "I'm also working hard on my ball handling."
Wallace will play for the Pump N Run AAU club this summer.
