Schools tracking Mason

Sitting at 23-3 and undefeated in the district, Palo Duro High School in Amarillo, Texas, is poised to make a run at the 4A state title behind the play of Oklahoma signee Austin Johnson and 2006 prospect Justin Mason. Mason, a 6-foot-2, 175-pound combo guard, has two offers on the table and a new school is scheduled to watch him in the coming days.
"New Mexico is coming to one of our last three games to watch Justin," said Palo Duro head coach Jeff Evans. "Texas A&M was in to see him a couple of weeks ago."

With offers from Texas Tech and Colorado State, Mason is averaging an impressive 5 steals per game along with 19 points 4.5 assists and 6 rebounds.
Along with the impressive play of Mason is that of Austin Johnson.
"Austin had a triple-double Friday night," said Evans. "He has been all over he stat sheet."
