Schools sizing up Texas trio

Texas is one of the hot spots for high school hoops and digging a little deeper, Houston is one of the most talent rich areas in the country. Cinco Ranch High School in Katy, Texas is home to a crafty guard trio and college coaches are taking notice. Al Jones and twins Chris Jones and Christian Jones are giving teams headaches and will continue to this summer.
Basketball runs in the family for the Joneses. Al (6-1, 170) is not related to the twins, Chris (6-0, 175) and Christian (5-11, 175), but together they're games are intertwined. The juniors are going through some growing pains this season at Cinco Ranch but the youngsters are finding the positives in a long year.

"My shot is coming along but I'm also averaging six or seven assists per game. I can see the floor when I need to but I can also run the show if I need to, too," Al Jones said. "If you are open for a spilt second, I'll find you."
The twins know a little something about playing like a Division I prospect. Their older brother, Charlie, went on to play at Colorado State but is currently looking at transferring from the Mountain West school. It doesn't stop just at the twins, an eighth grader is waiting in the wings.
So who is harder: the city of Houston or the Jones household?
"My brothers they're harder," Christian said. "(Charlie) inspires me a lot. I try to play just like he does. He has good dribbling skills and he can stop and shoot on a dime."
Chris Jones takes full advantage of having a player of his same skill set at his side at all times.
"It helps me a lot having him around," Chris says. "We are always playing and competing. He brings my A game out in me."
College coaches are catching onto the trip. Al Jones said he's hearing from Houston, Prairie View and UT-Arlington. The hometown Cougars have caught his attention to this point.
"I'd have to say Houston stands out right now," Al Jones says, "because when I do go to college I want to get a business management degree and they are one of the highest schools out there in that field."
According to the twins' father Charlie, Chris is getting interest from Colorado, Colorado State, UT-Arlington, Oklahoma State and DePaul. Christian has garnered interest from Arkansas, Tulsa and Colorado State.
"Obviously we'd like to go to the same college but we know that if things don't work out, we'll go to the place that works best for us," Christian said.
