Schools on Crocker as he works to qualify

Behind the strength of 2005 three-star prospect Tony Crocker, who is averaging a double-double on the year, Warren High School (33-5) from San Antonio, Texas, is as deep as the school has ever been in the playoffs with a berth into the region quarterfinals. Crocker has not yet qualified, but the 6-foot-5, 190-pound wing player still has some serious high-major interest.
"Tony is interested in Colorado State, Texas, Texas A&M, Florida, Creighton and Texas-San Antonio," said Crocker's AAU coach Brandon Graham of the San Antonio Celtics. "Tony's still wide open right now. All of these schools said they would take Tony if he qualifies."

As to his qualifying, Crocker has a score of 18 on the ACT, but he must get his GPA to at least a 2.375 in order to qualify. At the moment his GPA is a 2.0.
"I'd say Tony has a 60/40 percent chance to qualify," said Graham. "He has an 18 on his ACT. He needs to raise his GPA up a little. If he doesn't qualify, he will prep next year."
Nonetheless, there are some schools that are working hard in their recruitment of Crocker.
"Tony has taken an official visit to Creighton and was at the Texas/Oklahoma game on Monday," said Graham. "Right now he's concentrating on the playoffs. He will make a decision on his visits after the season."
Averaging 22 points and 10 rebounds per game, Crocker has had a tremendous senior season. Crocker, who has always been an athletic slasher, has also been shooting the ball well this season.
"Tony is leaps and bounds better than he was this summer," said Graham. "He dominates the city of San Antonio. He's shooting the ball extremely well. He's very athletic and explosive. He jumps out of the gym. He gets to the basket at will. Tony is also a good defender. He's really long which enables him to get his hands on a lot of balls.
"He does need to bulk up some, and his ball handling, while it's good, could use improvement."
